Unit 22: Choosing assessment activities

                    What does planning class involves? Planning involves taking into account assessment that is collecting information about learner´s performance, progress or attitudes. There are two types of assessment formal and informal. First of all, Formal assessment involves activities like essays, graphic organizers, pamphlets, test, so the teacher would grade those activities. Besides that, there are test to provide or measure students’ knowledge like Profanely test, achievement test, and progress test, for example if a teacher want to assess at the end of a course what student know, would be ok to use a Progress test. In fact, it has data which support the conclusions made from the test. Second, Informal assessment the teacher can do it during monitoring the class such as running records are informal assessments because they indicate how well a student is reading a specific book. This can be provides as feedback for the teacher or students, what they can do and can be improved. To conclude, assessments used to make judgments about student's learning behavior, and progress of individual learner.
